LPC

I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2014 with my Bachelor of Arts in Painting and a minor in Psychology. In 2017 I completed my Master’s Degree at Ursuline College in Counseling and Art Therapy. During my graduate studies, I spent ten months working alongside a psychosocial team at a local Children’s Hospital here in Cleveland, Ohio together with doctors, nurses, and child life specialists. My work focused on a wide variety of traumas, ranging from treatment on the hematology/oncology floor, to victims of severe abuse and neglect. I also have experience working in a school setting, addressing behavioral, emotional, and mental issues with individuals and groups. In 2017 I completed a Master’s thesis centered around secondary trauma and the use of expressive therapy following shootings, hurricanes, tsunamis, and acts of terrorism. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have been able to witness incredible stories, improve my skills as an effective helper, and widen my knowledge-base of how trauma affects the human brain. I am so thankful to be a part of Thrive Trauma Recovery and look forward to what’s to come.
